Previously, the traditional inspection method was visual inspection, which was used to analyze and ensure the quality of medical device packaging. The traditional visual inspection mainly depended on the inspectors. Many studies show that this method has limited ability in high-risk applications. Today, more advanced leak detection methods can be used for quantitative assessment of packaging and sealing quality.
Vacuum attenuation and pressure attenuation methods are widely used in this field. It can provide more reliable, sensitive and traceable data, as well as in-depth feasibility study, including test method development and test equipment customization.
